PLAYER INFORMATION

There is a lot more to a game of bowls than just rolling a bowl.

Having more knowledge will allow you to become a better bowler, a better team player and may motivate you to become a better club member and perhaps take on a position within your club.

Coaching, Marker, Measurer, Umpire

Becoming accredited in any of these areas, is a wonderful way to immerse yourself a little more in the world of lawn bowls. Whether on a club level, a regional level, state or even international level, you may find that this is something for you. Please speak to any of our club coaches, umpires or board members to find out more. With your own login to BowlsLink, you now have access to all the theory for coaching, marking, measureing and umpiring, free! Should you wish to become accredited, you will need to pay to complete the practical portion of the topic but now you are able to see if it something you may wish to do or at the very least, have a better understanding of what is required and improve your knowledge of this fabulous game. Head over to Bowls Victoria website and look up Education/Training for assistance on getting your login for bowlslink if you’re interested to follow this up.

Team Manager

Becoming a team manager is an important role during Pennant Season and when shown correctly, is a task that anyone can do but it does require some organisation and understanding of the game and basic knowledge of the Conditions of Play. Bowls Vic have made the webinar available for you to view at anytime. This is the link to the webinar. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=RTMt_qR6_LQ
